Analog voting system should be replaced with e-voting system.

  Election is important. Voting is a human's common right to decide something like a democratic way.  As the democracy had been developed, voting and voting system have begun to have tremendous influence. However, nowadays, many people don't know how voting and voting system are important and powerful because they are too busy to tend to solve or care politic problem or policy. One vote can change the world. For example, when French revolution, Louis XVI's execution was decided by voting system. Because of this reason, necessity to change and foster analog voting system has been disputed by many people with reasoning analog voting system's negative sides and problems. E-voting system, therefore, has been issued as one of the alternatives. However, some people said that there are much more serious problem on e-voting system. In many countries, therefore, the application of e-voting system has been delayed. In my opinion, we should replace analog voting system with e-voting system

  In Italy where e-voting system is partly used, there was a conflict that was about independence between Italy and Veneto which is the city of Italy.(Kuk min news. Park. 2014.) That independence was failed because the number of people who want independence was lower than  the number of people who don't want independence of Veneto and this result was shown in e-voting immediately. We can refer from this example that Europe has used e-voting system and the virtue of e-voting system, E-voting system is a voting system  that allows people to vote with their computer with internet. It means that we can know the results of voting system immediately. There is one more virtue of e-voting system : increasing the number of participants who vote. The number of participants who vote with analog voting system is decreasing. We can easily find this phenomenon in Korea where the analog voting system was used. According to research from National Election Commission in Korea (graph 1), in president election of Korea, the number of participants who vote with it is decreasing. That is because of some problems of analog voting system that the e-voting system can solve. At this point of view, the number of participants who vote with  an analog voting system has been decreasing in Korea. However, this is not only a Korean's problem because this phenomenon has been shown all over the world. You can check following graph 2 that shows us decreasing number of people who participate in vote(Social Science Data Analysis Network-voter turn out-Graph 2).

We have to know and try to solve the phenomenon because this can be a serious problem. The low participants of vote's result can't represent all of people's opinion, interest and problem which means the democracy. This means that we can be disadvantaged because we can't assert and show our dissatisfaction or discontent. Moreover, this situation can generate disaster of economy and society with a dictator either. To solve this serious phenomenon, I strongly believe that we should replace analog voting system with an e-voting system. There are three reasons in terms of protection of person's right, economy and society.


    First, the e-voting system can protect people's rights for voting and participating because it is opposite from analog voting system which makes people vote with their special paper in a special place. It means that people should go a polling place to vote and their right to vote can be violated if they can't move or vote because of physical disability or working. However, analog voting system has been an obstacle nowadays. Even though a vote was made to listen people's demand and constitution definite it as a right, vote to a right has been violated. E-voting system is a voting system  that allows people to vote with their computer with internet. It means that people don't have to go polling place. Those who can vote only in their house or company, can vote and their right to vote is protected. 
  Moreover, e-voting system is much more economical than analog voting system. Analog voting system needs much more time to show the result. There is possibility that the result can be spoiled when someone just changes a ballot box. However, The result of e-vote can be shown immediately. It can not be spoiled because "the result is being shown during voting and this must not be changed." (HOA Online Voting System). In addition, the process of vote doesn't need any money because we can vote without the paper or any tool.(Vote Hoa Now-Online Voting Benefit) 
  Lastly, E-voting system can solve serious social problem. As I related before, the number of participants who vote is decreasing because of analog voting system. Therefore, nowadays many social disasters are floating to the surface. For example, increasing number of disadvantaged people and social polarization. E-voting system make people vote anywhere and anytime. With these reasons, I strongly believe that we should replace analog voting system with e-voting system.

  However, Many people and country have been delaying or stopping to use it and to replace analog voting system with e-voting system. For example, nowadays, Norway that has used e-voting system decided not to use e-voting system(NPR-Scott Neuman. 2014). Most of that countries are worrying about e-voting's security and doubting the positive results of the e-voting system which is undoubtedly positive. Therefore, we can say that their basic worry is about spoiled result that is related with a problem of security, hacking. However, unlike people's thinking, hacking is not easy because a lot of experts will stand by to keep from hacking. In addition, We can solve this problem with the economy. For example, there already are homepages that help people to vote with e-voting system and the homepages have responsibility about hacking. It means they inevitably have to try to protect voting system from hacking. Many universities have tried to decide their student president with e-voting system and used these homepages. There isn't any problem with security. I understand many people worried about the security. However, it is not a big problem because nowadays many of things have been decided by internet with protecting program.

  As I related before, there are many problems on analog voting system which can be solved by replacing it with e-voting system. Because the voting has a powerful influence, these problems can be the disaster. However, nowadays, many people don't know how voting and voting system are important and powerful. Voting is a unique tool to participate in policy directly. Thus, it is important to solve voting system's problem that can violate people's right. Replacing analog voting system with e-voting system can solve many problems that can be generated by analog voting system and give us many benefits economically, socially. If I'm right, many people who couldn't vote because of handicaps or work will be able to vote without going polling place. Moreover, we can show to people the results of the vote immediately. In addition the number of participants who vote will increase which is a serious problem in society. However, many people said that e-voting can be hacked and the result can be changed. Unlike these people's thinking, these problems also can be solved because the experience of e-voting system can make technology developed. In addition, homepages or experts that have responsibility about the vote will come together to protect results of vote, using so many other internet tool. Therefore I strongly believe we should replace analog voting system with e-voting system.
